            Endorsements
?If anyone knows emerging markets, it?s Antoine van Agtmael. Having
invented the term, he?s now written the book! Immensely readable and
thoroughly researched, it?s packed with useful insights and brings
to life the strategic innovators behind the companies that are
helping reshape the world.? -- Strobe Talbott, President, The
Brookings Institution and former Deputy Secretary of State

"The man who hatched the concept of 'emerging markets' takes us to
the next stage with these incisive, highly-informed portraits of the
companies that are emerging from these countries to be major players
in the international marketplace.  Based upon in-depth analysis and
hundreds of thousands of miles of trekking and on-location research,
Antoine van Agtmael demonstrates how and why these companies will
have big impact on the world economy -- and why some will surely go
from the local presence of yesterday to the global brands of
tomorrow." --Daniel Yergin, Chairman, Cambridge Energy Research
Associates; Author of The Prize: the Epic Quest for Oil, Money, and
Power and Commanding Heights: the Battle for the World Economy

?Free of the simplistic blather that often passes for advice in
business books, The Emerging Markets Century is packed with superb
analysis and truly actionable advice.?   -- Moises Naim, Editor in
            Chief, Foreign Policy Magazine
